Elgin Community College: Manufacturing Technology Center

WT Group AEC provided civil engineering services for approximately 9 acres of site improvements supporting Elgin Community College’s new 150,000-square-foot Manufacturing Technology Center in Elgin, Illinois.

The project included a new parking lot, storm sewer drainage system, above-ground detention basin, underground detention system, and new water and sanitary service connections. With the site spanning two distinct drainage sheds, WT Group AEC performed detailed stormwater modeling and analysis to meet City of Elgin and Kane County requirements.

Working alongside DLA Architects and Lamp, Inc., WT Group AEC helped deliver the site infrastructure for a modern facility dedicated to manufacturing education, hands-on training, and preparing the region’s future workforce.
